Dan Rayfield Wins Key Endorsements

CORVALLIS – Dan Rayfield, the Democratic candidate for Oregon House District 16, recently won key endorsements from labor, environmental, and reproductive rights organizations.

“I’m excited that my campaign is getting off to such a strong start,” Rayfield said. “I’ve already had many inspiring conversations with neighbors and community leaders about how we can work together to create family wage jobs, strengthen our schools, and protect our environment.”

The Oregon League of Conservation Voters, Oregon AFL-CIO, and NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon have all endorsed Rayfield, an attorney who serves on the board of the Linn-Benton Housing Authority and was previously president of the Board of the Majestic Theatre Management and the Linn-Benton Bar Association.

“Oregon deserves and needs environmental champions in the legislature.  Dan Rayfield will be that kind of legislator and we are proud to endorse him for house district 16,” said Andy Maggi, political director for the Oregon League of Conservation Voters.

Dan Rayfield is the only Democrat running for Oregon House District 16, which includes Corvallis and Philomath. The Democratic incumbent, Rep. Sara Gelser, is stepping down at the end of her current term to challenge Republican Betsy Close for the District 8 seat in the state Senate.
