Housing Advocates Award Rayfield for Investments

Corvallis -- Representative Dan Rayfield (D-Corvallis) has been named a “Housing Champion” by the Oregon Housing Alliance. This award recognizes legislators for their commitment to helping Oregonians achieve housing stability and build financial security.

Rayfield has consistently shown up to support affordable housing initiatives and measures to increasing housing stability. Rayfield was recognized for the Oregon Legislature’s strategic investments in housing opportunity by playing a key role as Co-Chair of the Ways and Means Committee which ensured more than $350 million in targeted investments went to address the state’s housing crisis.

“A home changes everything,” Says Rayfield. “The investments made this biennium will ensure more Oregonians than ever before will have access to a roof over their head and a place they can call home.”

“We greatly appreciate Representative Rayfield’s leadership and work to invest in opportunity and solutions,” said Alison McIntosh, Policy and Communications Director at the Oregon Housing Alliance. “The Legislature made significant investments in addressing the housing crisis communities are facing through emergency rent assistance, building and maintaining affordable housing, and more, and we are so pleased to award Representative Rayfield a 2019 Housing Champion award."

The Oregon Housing Alliance presented Representative Rayfield the award during the September Legislative Days at the Oregon State Capitol.
