Rayfield to Host Campaign Kickoff

CORVALLIS- Dan Rayfield, the Democratic candidate for the Oregon House of Representatives from House District 16, will host his official campaign canvassing kickoff event at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, August 2nd, at the Benton County Democrats office in downtown Corvallis.

The canvassing kickoff marks the start of the campaign's door-to-door effort. Rayfield, along with campaign volunteers and staff, plan on reaching 2,000 houses on their first day.

“Going door-to-door is the best way to hear about what issues matter most to our community," Rayfield said.  "It also allows us an opportunity to share our plans to improve education, increase opportunities for local families, and strengthen our economy."

The kickoff event will start at 10:30 a.m. with a meet-and-greet, followed by an afternoon of canvassing in local neighborhoods. Community members are encouraged to attend, regardless of whether you can canvass or not.  The event is open to all residents of Corvallis and Philomath.

The Benton County Democrats office is located on the corner of 4th St. and Monroe Avenue.  The main entrance is on 4th Street under a hanging Democrat sign.
