CORVALLIS – The Corvallis Gazette-Times has endorsed Dan Rayfield for State Representative in House District 16, which includes Corvallis and Philomath. The Gazette-Times cited Rayfield’s experience as an attorney in positioning him well to serve in the state legislature.
“I’m excited about the Gazette-Times endorsement and I am looking forward to being able to apply my experience as an attorney, small business owner, husband, and father in the state legislature,” said Rayfield.
Rayfield’s endorsement was coupled with an endorsement of Sara Gelser in the local race for State Senator. After 8 years serving as State Representative for House District 16, Sara Gelser decided to make a run for the District 8 State Senate seat, leaving the open State Representative seat that Rayfield is running to fill.
