CORVALLIS—Dan Rayfield, Democratic Representative for Oregon House District 16 (Corvallis, Philomath), will host a “Community Coffee” event at 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 2, 2016, at New Morning Bakery. The Community Coffee is a chance for the community to meet with Rayfield, learn about his policy agenda, and share their thoughts and concerns for the upcoming legislative session.
“Understanding that many people’s schedules are busy with family and work, we try to create as many opportunities as possible to listen and engage with the community,” Rayfield said. “Knocking on doors, participating in forums, and holding community coffees are the best way we’ve found to do this.”
In the past, Rayfield has held monthly community coffees during the 2015 and 2016 legislative sessions. Rayfield will continue this practice during the upcoming 2017 session.
Rayfield is the incumbent Democrat running for reelection in House District 16. He is in his first term in the legislature and serves on the House Democratic Leadership team as Majority Whip.
